Scientific Mission

Our research holds immense potential for clinical translation, aiming to improve the quality of life for individuals living with type 1 diabetes worldwide. We take this responsibility seriously, and approach every aspect of our work with passion, ethics, and precision. We adhere to best practices in research, animal welfare, safety, and prioritize environmentally friendly methods. By embracing the three R's—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle — we aim to minimize waste and optimize our resources. We ensure transparency and ethical integrity, data reproducibility, sustainability, scientific dissemination, collaboration and engagement with broader research community, locally and internationally.

Equity Diversity & Inclusion

We firmly believe that principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) are fundamental to fostering innovation and excellence. These values strengthen our team and enhance the impact of our work. In our lab, we are committed to creating an environment that is free from discrimination and harassment, where every individual feels valued, respected, and supported. We welcome people of all genders, sexual orientations, and racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, and embrace the unique perspectives and talents they bring to our community. By practicing EDI principles daily, we aim to cultivate a collaborative and empowering space that drives meaningful scientific discovery and personal growth.
